Eurostat scheduled to release final August 2026 euro area inflation data

Eurostat is set to publish the complete Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) data for the euro area for August 2026 on September 17, 2026. A preliminary estimate from earlier in the month indicated that annual inflation in the euro area rose to 3.3% in August from 2.9% in July, primarily driven by higher energy costs.
