Bank of Albania Maintains Benchmark Interest Rate at 2.5%

The Bank of Albania's Monetary Policy Committee decided to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 2.5% during its October 2026 meeting. Policymakers indicated that the current monetary stance remains appropriate to support the return of inflation to its target. This decision follows an average inflation rate of 3.3% in July-August, primarily driven by higher fuel and unprocessed food prices.
