U.S. Industrial Production Rises 0.7 Percent in September, Up 2.8 Percent in Q3

The Federal Reserve Board reported that industrial production (IP) increased by 0.7 percent in September, following a 0.1 percent rise in August. For the third quarter, industrial production saw an annual rate increase of 2.8 percent. Manufacturing output grew by 0.3 percent in September, while mining and utilities indexes also saw increases.
