Bank of Canada to Announce Interest Rate Decision and Release Monetary Policy Report Today

The Bank of Canada is scheduled to announce its decision on the target for the overnight rate and publish its quarterly Monetary Policy Report (MPR) today, October 28, 2026. The embargo for the rate announcement press release is set to lift at 9:45 AM ET (13:45 UTC). Senior Bank officers are also slated to provide background information and respond to questions on the MPR at 8:30 AM ET (12:30 UTC).
