Uzbekistan Secures $300 Million in Loans for Power Grid Upgrades

Uzbekistan has secured $300 million in loans from the World Bank ($100 million approved on October 27) and the Asian Development Bank ($200 million approved on October 15) to modernize 60 electrical substations. This initiative aims to reduce power outages and electricity losses, and facilitate the integration of new solar and wind power plants, supporting the country's goal to increase renewable energy capacity to 25 gigawatts by 2030.
