US Nonfarm Business Sector Labor Productivity Increased 3.6% in Q3 2026

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that nonfarm business sector labor productivity rose by 3.6% in the third quarter of 2026, with output increasing by 3.7% and hours worked by 0.1%. Concurrently, unit labor costs in the nonfarm business sector decreased by 0.7%, reflecting a 2.9% increase in hourly compensation and the rise in productivity.
