FSIS Withdraws Lead Contamination Alert for Chicken Nuggets

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has officially withdrawn a public health alert concerning lead contamination in dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. The initial alert, issued on April 1st, was based on surveillance sampling that indicated elevated lead traces. However, further testing, including of the original product lot, revealed no such contamination. FSIS concluded the initial finding was a false positive caused by laboratory contamination, confirming the product's safety.
