WHO Report Details Global Impact of Unsafe Food on Health

New estimates from the World Health Organization reveal that unsafe food leads to approximately 866 million illnesses and 1.5 million deaths each year globally. The report highlights that young children are disproportionately affected, experiencing nearly one-third of all foodborne diseases despite comprising only 9% of the world's population. This indicates a significantly higher risk for this vulnerable group compared to older individuals.
