FDA Approves Lupin's Ranluspec Biosimilar for Ocular Conditions

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted approval to Lupin Limited for Ranluspec™ (ranibizumab-hkdz), an interchangeable biosimilar to Lucentis®. This new medication offers an additional treatment option for several eye conditions, including wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. It will be available in both vials and pre-filled syringes.
