Medical Applicators Recalled Due to Fungal Contamination Risk

BD has initiated a voluntary nationwide recall for specific lots of ChloraPrep™ and FREPP™ applicators. The recall is due to potential fungal contamination, which could lead to serious systemic infections, sepsis, or even death if introduced into a patient's bloodstream. These affected products were distributed to hospitals and distributors between March and June 2024.
