Rivaroxaban Ineffective for Cardiovascular Prevention in Advanced CKD, Increases Bleeding Risk

A study published in JAMA, known as the TRACK trial, concluded that low-dose rivaroxaban should not be routinely administered for cardiovascular prevention in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD), including those on dialysis. The research found no reduction in major cardiovascular events and a significant increase in major bleeding risks associated with the drug.
