CMS Implements New Medicaid Work Requirement Framework

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has introduced a new framework for Medicaid work requirements, effective immediately. This rule, mandated by federal legislation, requires eligible non-pregnant adults aged 19 to 64 to fulfill an 80-hour monthly work requirement. This can be met through employment, education, work programs, or community service to maintain Medicaid eligibility.
