Sanofi has announced the termination of its phase 3 clinical trial for riliprubart, a drug intended to treat chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). An independent data monitoring committee determined that the study was unlikely to achieve its primary efficacy endpoints. While the drug did not show sufficient benefit, no new safety concerns were identified during the trial.
