Island Pharmaceuticals Advances Marburg Virus Antiviral Study with US Partners

Island Pharmaceuticals is expanding its collaboration with USAMRIID and the Geneva Foundation to accelerate a dose optimization study for Galidesivir, a potential antiviral treatment for Marburg Virus Disease. The study, which will evaluate different dosing regimens and treatment initiation times, is slated to begin next quarter. Previous non-human primate data indicated high survival rates for treated animals.
