Study Suggests Link Between Longer Reproductive Lifespan, Hormone Therapy, and Increased Thyroid Cancer Risk in Women
Research presented at ENDO 2026, the Endocrine Society's annual meeting, indicates that women with longer lifetime exposure to female hormones may face an increased risk of thyroid cancer. The nationwide population-based study of approximately 5.7 million women also found a stronger association with increased thyroid cancer risk among those who received hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for five years or more.
