FDA Authorizes New Contrast Agent for MRI Scans

The U.S. FDA has approved AMBELVIST® (gadoquatrane), a novel intravenous contrast agent for MRI. This new macrocyclic gadolinium-based agent is designed to enhance the detection and visualization of lesions in both central nervous system and non-CNS body regions. It is notable for its high relaxivity and low-dose formulation, making it suitable for adult and pediatric patients.
