FDA Clears New Targeted Therapy for Specific Metastatic Prostate Cancer

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved AstraZeneca's Truqap (capivasertib) in combination with abiraterone and prednisone for adults with PTEN-deficient metastatic prostate cancer. This marks the first targeted treatment for this specific patient population, which accounts for approximately one in four prostate cancer patients.
