FDA Approves New Low-Dose MRI Contrast Agent

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved AMBELVIST, a new intravenous contrast agent for MRI scans. Developed by Bayer, this agent is indicated for detecting and visualizing lesions in various body regions for both adult and pediatric patients. Notably, it delivers 60% less gadolinium compared to other standard macrocyclic agents, making it the lowest-dose option available.
