Shionogi & Co. and F2G Ltd have reported favorable topline results from the global Phase 3 OASIS study for their investigational oral antifungal drug, olorofim. The study successfully met its primary goal of non-inferiority when compared to standard treatment for invasive aspergillosis, demonstrating a promising safety profile with fewer renal side effects. These findings suggest olorofim could become a valuable new treatment option for patients.
