NCCN Guidelines Endorse CSF Genomic Testing for Certain Glioma Patients
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network has updated its guidelines for central nervous system cancers. The new recommendations include cerebrospinal fluid-based molecular tumor profiling for patients with high-grade glioma or glioblastoma when a tissue biopsy is not possible. This expands the application of liquid biopsy methods in diagnosing and guiding treatment for CNS cancers, particularly in high-risk situations.
