Investigational antifungal drug shows promising Phase 3 trial results for invasive aspergillosis

A global Phase 3 study for the oral antifungal drug olorofim has reported positive initial findings. The drug demonstrated non-inferiority compared to existing treatments for invasive aspergillosis, a severe fungal infection. Additionally, olorofim exhibited a lower incidence of drug-related adverse events, potentially offering a new treatment option after two decades.
