Landmark BrIMA Study in JAMA Surgery shows improved intraoperative margin assessment in breast-conserving surgery with specimen PET-CT

XEOS announced the publication of the BrIMA (Breast cancer Intraoperative Margin Assessment) study in JAMA Surgery. This prospective, multicenter clinical trial demonstrated that specimen images obtained with the AURA 10® PET-CT system significantly improved surgeons' ability to identify and address positive margins during breast-conserving surgery. This provides actionable information at the point of surgical decision-making, addressing a persistent challenge in breast cancer treatment.
