Japan Approves Pediatric Dosage for COVID-19 Drug Xocova

Shionogi & Co., Ltd. has received supplemental approval in Japan for a pediatric formulation of its COVID-19 treatment, Xocova. This approval extends treatment options to children aged 6 to under 12 years, based on clinical trials demonstrating safety and efficacy comparable to adult use. New 25 mg tablets were also approved to facilitate pediatric administration.
