HPV Vaccine Linked to Elimination of Cervical Cancer Deaths in Young English Women

New research published in The Lancet indicates that the HPV vaccine has effectively eradicated cervical cancer deaths in women under 30 in England. For the first time, no women aged 20-24 died from the disease in a five-year period between 2020 and 2024. This significant finding suggests the vaccine has already saved approximately 200 lives since its introduction in 2008.
