FDA Revokes Approval for Cancer Medication TAZVERIK

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has officially rescinded its approval for Epizyme, Inc.'s cancer drug, TAZVERIK, effective today. This withdrawal follows a voluntary request from the manufacturer after confirmatory trials revealed an increased incidence of secondary primary malignancies. TAZVERIK had initially received accelerated approval for specific sarcoma and lymphoma indications.
