FDA approves novel targeted therapy for advanced triple-negative breast cancer.

The FDA has approved datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-DXd), a new targeted drug for advanced triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Clinical trials demonstrated that patients treated with Dato-DXd experienced improved progression-free survival and overall survival compared to standard chemotherapy. This offers a new option for a particularly challenging form of breast cancer.
