WHO Establishes New Center to Tackle Rising Liver Disease in Europe

The World Health Organization, in partnership with Imperial College London and EASL, has launched a new collaborating center in the UK focused on liver disease. This initiative aims to address the increasing prevalence of liver conditions in the European Region, which causes a substantial number of daily deaths. The center will support policy development, including measures on unhealthy food and alcohol marketing, to improve public health outcomes.
