FDA Approves New Maintenance Therapy for Advanced Breast Cancer

The Food and Drug Administration has approved palbociclib, in combination with other therapies, for the maintenance treatment of adults with HR-positive, HER2-positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. This new indication provides an additional treatment option for patients following their initial induction therapy.
