CDC Monitors Expanding Ebola Outbreak in Central Africa

The CDC is actively responding to an ongoing Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus in remote areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. With over 1,000 confirmed cases in the DRC, this is now the second-largest Ebola outbreak on record. The CDC has issued travel health notices and implemented enhanced screenings, noting there is currently no vaccine for this particular virus strain.
