FDA Approves TRYNGOLZA for Severe Hypertriglyceridemia and Acute Pancreatitis Risk Reduction

TRYNGOLZA (olezarsen) has received FDA approval as an adjunct to diet for reducing triglycerides and the risk of acute pancreatitis in adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG), defined as triglyceride levels ≥500 mg/dL. Clinical trials (CORE and CORE2) demonstrated significant reductions in fasting triglycerides (49%-72%) and an 85% pooled reduction in acute pancreatitis events, offering a new treatment paradigm for this condition.
