Existing Drug May Enhance Immunotherapy for Rare Liver Cancer

Researchers have discovered that AMD3100, an already FDA-approved drug, could potentially enable immunotherapy to combat a rare form of liver cancer. This cancer typically evades immune responses by sequestering T cells within fibrous tissue. The drug appears to release these T cells, allowing them to effectively target the tumor.
