Cayman Islands Public Health Issues Advisory for Second Saharan Dust Event This Month

Public Health in the Cayman Islands has issued a health advisory due to a Saharan dust plume expected to affect air quality from Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28, 2026. This is the second such alert this month. Residents, especially young children, older adults, and individuals with asthma or other chronic respiratory conditions, are encouraged to limit outdoor activity, keep doors and windows closed, and ensure medications are readily available.
