EMA Recommends Approval for New Medicines, Including Influenza Vaccine and Alopecia Areata Treatment

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended granting marketing authorization for several new medicines. These include Aujemflu, a vaccine to protect people aged 50 years and older against influenza, and an orphan treatment for rare Rett Syndrome. Additionally, the EMA's CHMP adopted a positive opinion recommending the approval of upadacitinib (RINVOQ®) for the treatment of adult and adolescent patients with severe alopecia areata.
