UK Health Security Agency Warns of Rising Antibiotic-Resistant Infections

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an alert, revealing that superbug infections are reaching 400 cases per week in the UK, with an increase in both antibiotic-resistant infections and associated fatalities. E.coli has been identified as the primary source of these infections over the past six years. The report also highlights a growing disparity in resistant bacteraemia rates between the most deprived and most affluent areas of society.
