American Cancer Society Funds Pediatric Bone Cancer Research at UT Health San Antonio

The American Cancer Society has awarded a substantial $879,000 grant to Dr. Panneerdoss Subbarayalu at UT Health San Antonio. This four-year grant will support innovative research focused on developing a new targeted therapy for osteosarcoma, a common bone cancer in children. The project aims to suppress tumor growth and enhance treatment sensitivity by targeting the Leukemia Inhibitory Factor Receptor (LIFR).
