PAHO Launches US$24 Million Emergency Appeal for Venezuela Earthquake Health Response
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has launched a US$24 million emergency appeal to support the health response and early recovery efforts in Venezuela following devastating earthquakes on June 24. The funds will be used over the next six months to deliver lifesaving health services, restore essential healthcare, strengthen disease surveillance, ensure access to medicines and vaccines, and rebuild the health system in affected areas, aiming to support approximately 700,000 people.
