Arkansas Study Examines Medical Cannabis Use Patterns in Pregnant Women

Researchers at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) have conducted the first population-level study on medical cannabis purchases by pregnant women in Arkansas. The study revealed significant amounts of THC bought during pregnancy and identified demographic trends among users, including being over 30, white, on Medicaid, and tobacco users. This research offers initial insights into a previously under-examined area of public health.
