Hundreds of Thousands of New Yorkers Face Loss of Health Coverage

Approximately 450,000 residents in New York are slated to lose their health insurance coverage beginning July 1. This significant change is a consequence of federal adjustments to Medicaid funding and the expiration of Affordable Care Act marketplace subsidies. Many individuals impacted by this change were enrolled in the state's Essential Plan.
