WHO Launches Clinical Trial for Bundibugyo Virus Treatments in DRC

The World Health Organization has commenced the PARTNERS clinical trial in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to test potential treatments for Bundibugyo virus disease, a form of Ebola. The study will evaluate two antiviral therapies, MBP134 and remdesivir, with the goal of improving patient survival. This platform trial design allows for the inclusion of additional experimental treatments as they emerge.
