WHO Ends Hantavirus Outbreak Declaration, Monitors Ebola and Marburg Cases

The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially declared the global hantavirus outbreak concluded, with no new cases reported since late May. However, the organization continues to monitor expanding Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which have accumulated over 1,400 cases and 400 deaths. Additionally, Uganda has confirmed a case of Marburg virus disease, prompting further vigilance from health authorities.
