WHO Ends Hantavirus Outbreak Declaration, Ebola Cases Rise in DRC

The World Health Organization has declared the hantavirus outbreak officially over, with no new cases reported since late May. However, the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo continues to worsen. The DRC is now reporting an average of 38 new confirmed cases daily, bringing the total to over 1,400 cases and 400 deaths.
