Study Links MRD Test to Improved Chemotherapy Outcomes for Colorectal Liver Metastases

A new study published in JAMA Oncology indicates that postsurgical molecular residual disease (MRD) status can predict which patients with resected colorectal liver metastases will benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy. This research, based on the CIRCULATE-Japan GALAXY study, is the first large analysis to show that MRD status can forecast an an overall survival benefit from chemotherapy in this specific patient group. The findings suggest a potential advancement in personalized treatment strategies.
