New Therapy Extends Progression-Free Survival for Advanced GEP-NETs

Primary results from the Phase 3 COMPETE trial, published in The Lancet, indicate that the drug ¹⁷⁷Lu-edotreotide significantly improved progression-free survival for patients with advanced gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. The study also reported a lower incidence of severe treatment-related side effects compared to the existing therapy, everolimus.
