UK Health Security Agency Escalates Heat Health Alerts to Amber Across England
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has escalated heat health alerts to amber for much of the Midlands and southern England, including the South East and Yorkshire and the Humber. Temperatures are forecast to reach 33-35°C, posing increased health risks, particularly for vulnerable populations. The amber alert is in effect from July 8 until July 12, 2026.
