Roche Halts Development of Two Huntington's Disease Treatments
Pharmaceutical company Roche has ceased its development efforts for two experimental drugs aimed at Huntington's disease, tominersen and RG6496. This decision follows disappointing Phase II clinical trial results for tominersen, which failed to demonstrate symptom improvement or slow disease progression. The RG6496 program was also discontinued after animal studies indicated it was not suitable for long-term use.
