FDA Authorizes New Biosimilar Drug ENNUMO™ for Cancer Patients

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted approval for ENNUMO™ (pegfilgrastim-pccg), a biosimilar version of the drug NEULASTA®. This new medication offers an additional treatment choice for both adult and pediatric patients undergoing chemotherapy for non-myeloid cancers. Its purpose is to reduce the risk of infection, specifically febrile neutropenia, which can be a serious complication of cancer treatment.
