Study Shows Dual Mobility Hip Implants Lower Dislocation Risk After Fracture

A new study published in The Lancet indicates that dual mobility hip implants significantly reduce the risk of dislocation in older adults undergoing total hip replacement for femoral neck fractures. The DUALITY trial found a 70% lower relative risk of dislocation compared to standard cups. This finding could decrease patient complications and the need for repeat procedures, particularly for those prone to instability.
