New Drug Zidesamtinib Approved by FDA for Advanced ROS1-Positive Lung Cancer

The FDA has granted approval for zidesamtinib, a ROS1-selective kinase inhibitor, to treat adult patients with advanced ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer who have undergone prior ROS1 TKI therapy. This approval, which is GSK's initial foray into lung cancer treatments, was expedited due to its Breakthrough Therapy and Orphan Drug designations.
