UC Davis Health Launches Pilot Program for At-Home Cervical Cancer Screening
UC Davis Health has initiated a pilot study to integrate at-home HPV self-collection for cervical cancer screening into its health system. This collaboration with Teal Health, which developed the first FDA-authorized self-collection device for at-home screening, aims to improve screening rates, particularly for patients who are due or overdue for care. The study, funded by an NIH Small Business Innovation Research Grant, will compare outcomes with traditional clinic-based screening.
