CDC Expands Cyclosporiasis Outbreak Investigation Linked to Taco Bell Lettuce

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has broadened its investigation into a multistate cyclosporiasis outbreak, now linking four additional states to the existing five. This brings the total to nine states affected by the illness, which has been traced to shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants. Nearly 2,000 people have been infected, resulting in 98 hospitalizations, as authorities continue to track the contaminated product's distribution.
